Southern Fuel Coupes 2002 Rules
Revised March 2002 at the SFC Annual Business Meeting

Rules Have Changed!!!!!

1.	  Southern Fuel Coupes Will Run a Quick 8 Format a Professional Ladder!

2.      The car and safety equipment must meet NHRA PRO ET and IHRA 
         TOP ET rules.
3.      The driver must be properly licensed and wear proper driver's clothing
         for car. The car owner must be a member of Southern Fuel Coupes.
4.      All cars must be Blown Alcohol Powered only
   A. No NITRO allowed.
   B. There are no size, shape, or brand of engine restrictions.
5.      Any transmission type or number of gears is permissible.
6.      True funny cars preferred but unique altereds and Pro Mods will be allowed.
         We are looking for variety of crowd pleasing cars.. Please make every effort
         to make your car stand out in a crowd!

7.      Deep staging allowed.
8.      The Electronics rule has been eliminated. Run any combination of electronics!
9.     All runs will be on the  7.50 and 4.50 indexes.

	      A. If you run under the index, The amount you run under the index, plus a
             .10 penalty will be added to the index. (Example) If you run a 4.48, your 
             penalty would be as follows; .02 (the amount under the index) + .10 for 
             running under the index, + the index. This would give you a qualifying 
             time of 4.62 for that run.
10.    If you run under during elimination's, you lose. (Except in double breakout 
         situations, then the closest to the index wins. If your opponent does not stage
         for the race, or he/she redlights, you may run any ET you want.
         Going under the index will not disqualify you.
